En gramática inglesa, el presente continuo o presente progresivo es un tiempo verbal que se forma con el verbo «to be» en presente («I am playing») + el verbo principal en gerundio («playing») para describir una acción en curso o que va a suceder.
En otras palabras, el presente continuo es para describir lo que está sucediendo en este momento, o lo que va a suceder en un futuro cercano.
