It’s common to use the Present Continuous with future meaning. When we want to talk about future plans or arrangements, we often use the Present Continuous. For example:
I’m meeting John at the station at six o’clock tonight.
This means that the arrangement is already made – I have already decided to meet John. It isn’t just a possibility.
We’re leaving for New York at eight o’clock on Monday morning.

When we want to talk about the future, we can also use the Present Simple. The Present Continuous is more common with arrangements, however:

We often use the Present Continuous with a time expression such as tonight, this evening, tomorrow, next week, etc. For example:
